In the fourth quarter of 2024, the leading social networking apps in South America experienced varied performance on the iOS platform. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for these applications.

Threads saw consistent weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 438K in mid-October. Throughout the quarter, its weekly active users increased steadily from around 10M to over 12M by the year's end.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a solid presence with weekly downloads fluctuating, reaching a high of nearly 297K in late December. Active users remained stable, hovering around 48M throughout the quarter, while weekly revenue showed minor variations, averaging about $10.

Facebook experienced a decline in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, dropping from around 197K to 142K. Its weekly revenue was more stable, starting at $27.4K and ending slightly lower. Active users showed a slight increase, finishing the quarter at approximately 35.6M.
